Three-point editing

Three-point editing is a process used to insert media into a track in your editing software. The first two points that would be set are the in and out points of the clip in the viewer. The next step is to set the in and out points in the sequence where you want the clip to appear. One would then choose the tracks in the timeline where they want to clip to appear, then dragging the clip into the timeline.
To me the significance of three-point editing is an easy way to make sure that you get exactly what you want in your video. Setting the in and out points lets an editor get exactly what he/she wants into their video with ease. You can cut exactly what you want in our out and just drag it where you want it to be in your timeline, it's very simple.
