Understanding a music video comes down to its visual presentation and visual imagery. All analyses of music videos always comes down to its visual presentation and not the music itself. Music critics claim that the visual imagery represented in these videos are replacing the rationality of today's popular and even political culture. Logic and rationality have moved to the beginning of pop culture and visual imagery has moved right into the center. (p. 125-127)
Television borrows many aspects of the music video and often collaborates with music video in daily programming. Talk shows welcome bands to play on their show. The talk show is one form of entertainment and the musical performance is another. On dance shows the spotlight is not limited to the people creating the music, but also the dancers who are dancing to the music. Shows like this are considered televisions of music. Which are performances that are choreographed for broadcasting on television. (p.141-142)
